Rhipsalis (Latin: Rhipsalis) is an unusual plant of the Cactaceae family found in the rainforests of South America, Africa and Asia. In the natural environment, Rhipsalis is a well-branched shrub with aerial roots. Of the main features of the plant, it is impossible not to mention the interesting leaf-shaped shoots, outwardly they resemble peculiar tubes, colored in a deep green shade.
Ripsalis needs a certain temperature regime, which is divided into two periods: in spring, summer and autumn, the optimal variant is 20-25 degrees Celsius of heat, and in winter about 17. Lighting should be bright, but diffused, with protection from direct sunlight. It is best to place the plant in a pot on the eastern or western side. Water Ripsalis should be watered moderately, as the soil dries out by a third. Also, the exotic flower is susceptible to air humidity, so daily spraying is recommended. From March to October, Ripsalis needs fertilizing, the best fertilizers are complex mineral fertilizers for cacti and succulents.
