Aloe (Latin: Aloe) is a houseplant of the Asphodelaceae family. Aloe in the natural environment can be found in Africa, this species is classified as succulents. Tropical plant is perfectly adapted to difficult climatic conditions, well tolerates drought, because it stores liquid in the leaves and stem, which is a common feature of all succulents. Aloe has a short stem, on which a powerful leaf rosette is formed. The leaves of the plant are fleshy and have a mealy shape, most often with toothed edges.
Do not be afraid to leave Aloe on the most brightly lit windowsill, this species needs direct sunlight. The temperature regime depends on the time of year: in spring, summer and fall it can be standard room conditions, and in winter it is important to reduce the temperature to 15-16 degrees Celsius. Aloe has no special preferences for humidity, but periodically you can spray the leaves of the plant, to maintain decorativeness and remove dust. Watering is necessary as the top layer of soil dries out. During watering, make sure that water does not get into the leaf rosette. Once a month, from April to September, apply mineral fertilizer.
